MONICA LEWINSKY

Politically aware people of the ’90s probably know who Monica Lewinsky is with the degree of noise the news about her made at the time. The then-US President Bill Clinton admitted they had an affair when she was still working as a White House intern. This gave birth to the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal that made her an instant celebrity all over the world, but this was the kind of fame that Monica didn’t like.

The controversy, however, made the now-47-year-old personality stronger. She used it to improve herself, that she later became an activist and TV personality. Monica let herself get involved in different ventures, from designing her own line of handbags to being an advertising spokesperson for a diet plan. She then later decided to get out of the spotlight and furthered her studies. Monica returned to the public’s eye with a vengeance in 2014 as a social activist, campaigning against cyberbullying.
